"So, my friend, you would seek to understand more of what lies within, it is a tricky tale to be told and one which for so many has no answers to be found within it's telling. Perhaps a riddle too great to be explained with mere words on parchment? But maybe the writings of one Mu'Jid Ab-Al-Qadir of the Brae Shadar can help shed light upon that which is shrouded in darkness and mystery...? For he is a learned man, well travelled..."

Extract from the diaries of Mu'Jid:

'...Fate is a fickle creature, the mage is dead, his neck broken by the fall, his powers will be missed and his Demon enraged but now we have new allies. A band of heavily armoured warriors calling themselves The Knights of Justice have joined with us. We found them after they had engaged a new enemy, their leader lay dying on the ground his head split open by a great blow from one of the creatures, I have seen such wounds before and they are always fatal. Fortunately for him M'Leanna was at hand, she called upon Mothers power and saved his life. They are a strange bunch, claiming their empire stretches across the land, which is nonsense, and also that Filanstadt is a mere fishing village rather than our great capital city...'

Duvonius is a land of many races, many creeds and much history - much of it lost to eons of time and only now being discovered.

Extract from the diaries of Mu'Jid:

...we are beset on all sides, a gold skinned race calling themselves the Gore have decided to take exception to our presence here. They hate all who have Power and are repeatedly attacking our number, targeting the mages and priests. Even I was caught by them unawares as they appeared from nowhere before attacking...

Many years ago, during the ends of a great War between the peoples of Duvonius where much was destroyed, the leaders of the land were called together to the old capital city Filandstadt by the great hermit Janus, to meet and form new treaties. They never returned to their peoples... The next year we followed in their footsteps to meet at the city and try and discover the plight of our leaders. We too did not return... until now, nearly 80 years later. In that time the lands of Duvonius saw the ending of the great War, terrible famine, and finally peace. The travellers have returned to Duvonius through a Portal and much has been learned, or has it?

Extract from the diaries of Mu'Jid:

...the blow to my head must have rattled me more than I thought. I should have just brought down the earth around them and buried them along with the SpiderQueen. Instead I tried to save our people and handed the Sceptre she so desired to the Squire Leto to hand over to her...yet it is only now once the deed is done that I am told this will unleash her on the universe to destroy it! Maybe all is not lost though, the idea of a creature that wishes to devour all life seems to have inspired our group to co-operate a little more. When I find the rest of the Brae Shadar we will have a mighty foe to defeat, I wonder if she is the first of the Mi-Raal...?

The Monks of Knowledge have called a great Council with which to rule the 'new' lands of Duvonius. Is the Knowledge learned by those of us who travelled of use to the people who stayed behind. Or will the council which is to be formed of old and new alike find a higher path for us all to tread?

Extract from the diaries of Mu'Jid:

...the Soul Healers, those with silver hair are a dangerous foe! They seem to be able to break the link between mages and their demon, I know they can make objects disappear completely! We must be careful...
